Personio - Time off logging
In this game, everyone needs a break to refuel, recharge, and jump back in full throttle
Personio is our HR tool where all AStrafy HR information is stored. This is the tool we use for recruitment, storing HR documents (work contracts, payrolls, etc.) and all also to to log the different moments we are off for various reasons.
Personio integrations
Personio is integrated with the following two tools:
Slack:
Sends a summary every morning on the HR slack channel about employees that are off
Sends a message regarding birthdays and work anniversary on the HR slack channel
Sets an emoticon next to the employee's profile in case of absence with emoticon representing his/her absence type
Leapsome:
Integrates all HR information and hierarchy into Leapsome
Types of days off
Here are the different types of days off that must be logged accordingly via the web application or the phone application:
Legal holidays: Those holidays are the legal holidays set by the laws of the country you working in. Any remaining holidays at the end of the year can be carried over until the end of March of the following year.
Extra holidays: In case you need extra holidays for any reasons, you can check with your manager and if approved, you can log those additional holidays in this category.
Sick days: any days or half days you don't work due to illness
Parental leave: any days you don't work due to the birth of a child
Maternity protection
Team Building: Days and half days spent on team building must be logged under this category.
Conference: Days and half days spent attending a conference/event must be logged under this category.
Part-time absence: In case you are under a part-time contract, you must log the days and half days of the week you are not working due to your part-time contract under that category.
When to log your days off
As a rule of thumb, the sooner the better as it helps management to plan capacity at customers accordingly. For holidays, a few weeks/months in advance are always appreciated. And otherwise always take 5 minutes per week for instance on Friday to log your eventual days off of the following week.
Except for holidays, sick leave, parental leaves and Part-time absence, it's mandatory to put notes regarding time off taken for other categories.
