Astrafy takes pride in being a transparent organization - our focus is on creating the best value for our customers and making careful decisions on investments to continue to scale and meet our ambitious roadmap. At the same time, your health, happiness, and productivity are important to us.

Therefore, our philosophy is Freedom & Responsibility. We trust you, just do what's best for the company. We provide you with a Revolut company credit card with a $750/month spending limit for making purchases as necessary.

If for some reason you must use your own personal card, please submit your reimbursement request via Avaza.

Saving Receipts

As with any business transaction, you must keep and submit copies of all receipts. If you make a purchase on your company credit card but cannot provide us with a receipt, the expense will be taken out of your pay. Similarly, if you make a business-related purchase on your personal credit card, you cannot expect a reimbursement without a receipt. All receipts must be saved within Avaza which has a convenient way of registering receipts via the mobile app.

Travel With Purpose

We are a fully distributed, 100% remote-friendly company, however, we recognize the value of in-person time and encourage our team to come at our coworking space in Geneva as much as possible.

You can use your Revolut credit card to pay for plane tickets and accommodation. As with every expense, we ask you to optimize those expenses by booking your plane tickets in advance.

How much should I spend? We believe in freedom & responsibility and only ask you use your best judgment. As with all purchases & reimbursements, you will need to submit receipts in a timely manner.

Making Larger Purchases

Every important expense (like laptops and mobiles phones) are centralized and carried out via formal purchases where we try to get discounts via long term contracts. For any purchases higher than 500 USD, you can contact your manager and he/she will do the necessary.

Software

We have spent a significant amount of time to select best-of-breed tools to perform our daily work. Those tools can be found in the "Our toolkit" section. In case you think a tool is missing or that we should use a better tool for a specific purpose, you will be heard and we will discuss this over a meeting. If the use case requires it, we will either purchase a one-off license or go for a team plan.

Celebrations and Life Events

We want you to know you are important to us, so we make it a point to recognize achievements and other important milestones in your lives. We believe this makes each person feel special and helps to keep morale high.

Birthdays

Astrafy budgets 50 EUR for a birthday gift for each employee. We want it to be personalized, so we’ll ask team members for gift ideas in advance of the birthday.

Astrafy Anniversaries

We budget 75 EUR for each employees' work anniversary. And because we believe in the old adage “It is better to give than to receive,” we will donate an additional 75 EUR in your name to your favorite charity on your special anniversary day.

Significant Life Events

We care about things that happen to you. For this reason, we budget 100 EUR for a gift to acknowledge important events in your life: wedding, the birth of your child, your return to work after an extended illness or the loss of a loved one.

Training

Training costs should usually be covered, if it is related to your role. When in doubt, reach out to to your manager for questions. We normally recommend "à la carte" courses on Udemy or other platforms so that you can chose exactly the course you want instead of being locked within a certain licence platform.
