# Diversity, inclusion & belonging

> "Diversity is having a seat at the table; inclusion is having a voice; and belonging is having that voice be heard."

At Astrafy, we are engineering the future of Data and Generative AI. Solving the most complex technical challenges requires a team capable of approaching problems from multiple angles. For us, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIB) are not just corporate checkboxes—they are foundational to how we build, how we scale, and how we execute.

We believe that homogeneous teams build fragile systems, while diverse teams build resilient, innovative solutions.

Here is how we integrate Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging into the Astrafy DNA every single day:

#### Diversity: Building a World-Class Team

As we scale across our hubs in Geneva, Madrid, and beyond, we are committed to building a team that reflects the global nature of the tech community.

* Meritocracy First: We hire strictly based on the "Astrafy Profile." We seek out builders who demonstrate a relentless bias for action and a deep understanding of Data & AI, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, or background.
* Diversity of Thought: We actively seek out individuals who challenge the status quo. We want people who bring different life experiences and professional backgrounds to the table because that friction is what sparks the best architectural decisions.

#### Inclusion: Giving Every Voice a Platform

Diversity is being invited to the team; inclusion is being asked for your input. We ensure everyone is heard through our core values.

* Radical Candour & Zero Ego: We foster an environment where the best idea wins, regardless of who suggested it. We expect everyone—from our newest engineers to our founders—to speak up, challenge ideas respectfully, and debate openly.
* Open-Source Culture: By defaulting to transparency in our codebase, our handbooks, and our internal communication, we ensure that every team member has the context and access they need to participate fully in the company’s growth.

#### Belonging: Fostering Genuine Connection

We move incredibly fast, which means we must support each other completely.

* **True Mental Availability:** We are deeply present for one another. Belonging means knowing that if you are struggling with a technical roadblock or a personal challenge, your teammates will offer their undivided mental bandwidth to help you navigate it.
* **Psychological Safety**: We treat mistakes as tuition for learning. You can only bring your authentic self to work if you feel safe taking risks. At Astrafy, we do not let our teammates fail alone, and we protect the psychological safety of our environment fiercely.

#### Our Concrete Commitments

Words matter, but execution matters more. We hold ourselves accountable to these standards by:

1. **Transparent Compensation**: Maintaining clear, open, and equitable compensation frameworks that eliminate bias and reward impact.
2. **Zero Tolerance**: Enforcing a strict zero-tolerance policy against discrimination, harassment, or exclusion in any form.
3. **Continuous Evaluation**: Regularly assessing our hiring pipelines, promotion cycles, and internal culture to ensure we are living up to the standards we have set as we scale.
