Cost Center
The high cost of greatness is better than the low cost of mediocrity
Definition of a cost center:
A cost center is a department or function within an organization that does not directly add to profit but still costs the organization money to operate. Cost centers only contribute to a company's profitability indirectly, unlike a profit center, which contributes to profitability directly through its actions.
We use cost center in order to structure our company and to visualize at best the trends of our costs.

Google Cloud
Most resources on Google Cloud support the use of labels. A label is a key-value pair that helps you organize your Google Cloud resources. You can attach a label to each resource, then filter the resources based on their labels. Information about labels is forwarded to the billing system, so you can break down your billed charges by label.
At Astrafy, each resource supporting labels will have the mandatory two labels:
cost center label: this label has the key "
cost_center
" and for value one of the cost center mentioned above. For the "Cost Center" customer, check with your project manager as each customer will be assigned a unique number in the range "800-899". It is then easy to back-charge customers for the costs we have incurred for them on our Google Cloud projects.owner label: this label has the key "
owner
" and for value the person responsible for this resource.
Labels should be automated on terraform resource creation using a dedicated module. Inspiration here:
